1. Agreement
By installing the Marky Chrome extension or accessing
marky.so, you agree to these Terms of Service
("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Marky ("we", "us", "our") is bundled with an
AI Systems Club membership and operated under the
same organisation.
2. The service
Marky is a Chrome extension and accompanying web app that lets you:
- Save bookmarks, articles, videos, tweets, inspiration, and AI prompts from any web page in one click.
- Organize them with tags, folders, collections, and categories.
- Search and recall everything you've saved.
- Reuse saved prompts inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gmail, Shopify, and other text fields on the web.
Marky supports Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Arc, Brave).
Firefox and Safari are on the roadmap but not yet supported.
3. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Marky.
- Full functionality requires an active AI Systems Club membership ($50/month, billed by AISC via Stripe).
- Accounts are individual. You may not share an account with other people.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure. We use magic-link authentication, so anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you.
- Notify us immediately at security@marky.so if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Marky for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws (including IP, privacy, or export-control laws).
- Save, store, or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringing.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract data from Marky's backend except via documented APIs.
- Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to interact with Marky beyond what the extension normally does in-browser.
- Probe, scan, stress-test, or attempt to overwhelm our infrastructure.
- Use Marky to distribute malware, phishing pages, or any malicious content.
- Resell, white-label, sublicense, or rebrand Marky without our written permission.
- Impersonate another person, including in the prompts or notes you save.
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules,
with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the marks, prompts, notes, tags, and
collections you save in Marky. We make no ownership claim
on your content.
You grant Marky a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host,
store, back up, display, sync, and process your content solely for
the purpose of operating the service for you. This license
terminates when you delete the content (or when your account is
deleted, subject to the data-retention schedule in our
Privacy Policy).
You're solely responsible for the legality of what you save and for
any third-party rights attached to it.
Marky's prompt-insert feature lets you push saved prompts into
third-party services such as ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic),
Gmail (Google), Shopify, and others. Those services are
operated by their respective providers, not by Marky.
- Marky doesn't control the outputs, accuracy, availability, or pricing of those tools.
- You're bound by each service's own terms when you use it.
- Marky doesn't send your prompts to anyone other than the tool you explicitly insert them into.
7. Subscription & billing
- Marky is included with an AI Systems Club membership at $50/month.
- Billing is handled by AI Systems Club, processed through Stripe. Marky never sees your card details.
- The subscription auto-renews monthly until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your AISC member dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds follow AI Systems Club's refund policy. Marky-specific refunds are not handled separately.
- If a payment fails, your access may be suspended until the issue is resolved. Your saved data is retained per the data-retention schedule.
8. Service availability
We work to keep Marky available 24/7, but we don't guarantee
uninterrupted service. We may, from time to time:
- Push extension updates that change features, UI, or behavior.
- Pause the service briefly for maintenance — with notice when planned.
- Deprecate features with at least 30 days' notice to active members.
- Experience outages caused by our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Cloudflare, Stripe, Chrome Web Store), which we'll work to resolve as quickly as possible.
We strongly recommend periodic JSON exports of your library as a
personal backup.
9. Intellectual property
- The Marky name, logo, brand identity, visual design, marketing copy, extension source code, and backend systems are owned by Marky.
- You don't acquire any rights to our brand, code, or design by using Marky.
- The Chrome logo and name are trademarks of Google LLC. Use of the Chrome logo on marky.so is for descriptive purposes only.
- Third-party brand marks shown on marky.so (Google, Microsoft, Notion, Webflow, Stripe, HubSpot, Figma, X, LinkedIn, Discord, Shopify, OpenAI, Anthropic) are property of their respective owners and used for descriptive purposes.
You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from any
part of Marky without our prior written consent.
10. Disclaimers
Marky is provided "as is" and "as available" without
warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To
the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- Any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
- Any warranty that data will never be lost (export regularly).
- Any warranty about the outputs of third-party AI tools you reach through Marky.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Marky, its
officers, employees, contractors, and partners will not be
liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data.
- Damages arising from third-party AI tools, browser extensions, or services that Marky interoperates with.
- Service interruptions, security incidents at our sub-processors, or actions of third parties outside our reasonable control.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or
relating to Marky is capped at the greater of $50 USD or the
amount you paid for AI Systems Club membership in the 12 months
before the claim arose.
12. Termination
- By you: uninstall the extension at any time. To delete your cloud-side data, email privacy@marky.so.
- By us: we may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if continued service to you would expose us to legal risk, or if your AISC subscription lapses for more than 90 days.
- Upon termination, your data is retained per the data-retention schedule in the Privacy Policy.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, etc.) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we bump the
"Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material
changes (such as changes to fees, key user rights, or
dispute-resolution terms) will be announced by email to active
members at least 14 days before they take effect.
Continued use of Marky after a change to these Terms constitutes
acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the
State of New Mexico, United States, excluding its
conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating
to Marky will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts
located in New Mexico, and you and Marky each consent to their
jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have
under the consumer-protection laws of your home jurisdiction.
